How To Smoke A Hash Pipe
Check out my tiny screen debut as I show you how to smoke either earwax/shatter oil out of various hash pipes. It’s short and sweet but I hope it’s informational and someone learns something from it. If not, I tried – it’s your problem really, not mine… Also any feedback from you guys about how you like shatter oil or how you feel about the CO2 extract would be appreciated!
Super Lemon Haze Earwax Review
Type: BHO (butane hash oil), earwax
- Name: Super Lemon Haze
Origin: Lemon Skunk x Super Silver Haze
Indica/Sativa: Sativa hybrid
Medicinal: Anxiety and appetite stimulant
Looks: Dark golden-yellow with lighter outer layers.
Smell: Intense lemons with a hint of earthy haze at the end.
Taste: sweet and sour lemons with that typical earthy haze flavor.
Snob Score: A
Super lemon haze won the 2008 High Times Cannabis Cup and it’s easy to see why. A very smooth smoke, go ahead, get a big chunk and it’ll all go down smooth. A full body tingle coupled with an awesome head high. After a little while you get that motivated sativa rush. Phenomenal daytime smoke; perfect for creative projects, music, movies, hikes, cleaning, you name it and you feel like you could probably do it on super lemon haze.
OG Cheese Shatter Oil Review
Type: CO2 extract hash oil, Shatter oil
- Name: OG Cheese
Origin: Cheese x Afghani
Indica/Sativa: Indica hybrid
Medicinal: Anxiety, chronic pain, insomnia, appetite stimulant.
Looks: Black with a green tint in the light. Incredible hard, glass like hardness! I recommend putting it in the freezer and then breaking the shatter oil into pieces.
Smell: Slight cheese odor but nothing to pronounced.
Taste: Incredible clean and smooth with just a hint of cheese at the end.
Snob Score: B
OG Cheese shatter oil is a very solid medication. Not overwhelming in any area but very effective none the less. A very relaxing strain with a clear and euphoric head high. Ideal for hanging out and listening to some music or watching a movie. Nothing too special but if you like cheese strains, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this one.
I’m new to the shatter oil and I enjoy this strain more than the first strain I tried. The shatter oil is a lot different from the earwax – this is because of the CO2 used in production and not butane. The CO2 makes the shatter oil rock hard and kind of difficult to work with. Freezing the oil and then breaking it into pieces was the easiest solution I found.
I like the CO2 extract because you know there isn’t anything adverse chemicals left in the product. Earwax has the potential to leave heavy metals behind and the purity just can’t be what the all-natural CO2 is. I’d like to see the potency go up or I need better strain choice because it doesn’t have that one hit wonder ability that I’ve found with earwax (I’m still a nube to it too so I may be missing on the producer or strains). The shatter oil is always clean and smooth, noticeable cleaner than earwax. I will be buying more shatter oil and I urge you to do the same so we can get more people doing it!
Platinum OG Earwax Review
Type: BHO butane hash oil, earwax
- Name: Platinum OG
Origin: Master Kush x OG Kush x The Purps
Indica/Sativa: Indica hybrid
Medicinal: Anxiety, chronic pain, insomnia
Looks: Very light yellow-golden color
Smell: Pungent diesel with a slight earthy undertones.
Taste: Clean and smooth with a noticeable diesel bite. Very similar to its smell.
Snob Score: A
Platinum OG is a very strong indica with wonderful relaxing traits. If you need help sleeping or relaxing at night then I highly recommend this one. You also get a pleasantly clear and euphoric heady effect. Platinum OG earwax is a can’t miss for indica fans.
Strawberry Cough Review
Genetics: Strawberry fields x Haze
Indica/Sativa: Sativa dominate hybrid
Aroma: Faint strawberries until you break up the bud and then you can appreciate the full body strawberry goodness.
Flavor: Smooth and mellow with a sweet lingering after-taste.
Bud Structure: Thick plump nuggets with a fair amount of orange hairs and crystals.
Medicinal: Seizure related issues
Effects: Very clear cerebral high with a decent mellow body buzz for a sativa strain.
Grade: C+
This is a tough review for me to do – I love strawberry cough, it’s personally one of my favorite strains. Favorite or not though strawberry cough isn’t a premium strain in most cases (growers can always have a badass crop). Patients with a higher tolerance will notice the bland effects and lack of punch in this strain. The smell and flavor are the perks to this strain in my opinion. I also enjoy it for daytime use because it’s a very clear high with a slight body buzz.
Maui Wowie Review
Genetics: Original Hawaiian strain
Indica/Sativa: Sativa
Aroma: Pungent haze and berries with a citrus finish.
Flavor: Citrus with just a hint of spice at the end.
Bud Structure: Incredible dense buds with premium crystal coverage and a fair amount of bright orange hairs. A wonderful purple hue is mixed throughout the buds. A real treat to look at in the sunshine.
Medicinal: Headaches and seizure-related illnesses
Effects: Extremely strong cerebral highs. Maui Wowie is very euphoric and uplifting. Very clear-headed effects with no signs of laziness or slowness associated with this sativa strain.
Grade: A
Maui Wowie is 100% sativa and no one could argue that after smoking just a little bit of this gorgeous bud. A few hits and you’ll be cleaning the house or doing that blog post you’ve put off. Extremely uplifting, this is perfect daytime medicine or coffee supplement.
I usually don’t like Maui wowie because it’s not always the most consistent strain potency wise. I think a lot of that is due to the fact that everyone from Hawaii calls their strain “Maui wowie”. This strain is top of the line to me and it’s so delicious. If you see an incredibly dense bud (I got a one nug 8th for the picture), that smells fantastic, don’t you dare leave the store without some.
Pink Lady Review
Genetics: Pink phenotype of Plush Berry (Black Cherry Soda x Space Queen)
Indica/Sativa: Indica dominate hybrid
Aroma: A very sweet floral aroma with slight grape undertones.
Flavor: Very smooth smoke with hints of pine and sweet grapes followed by a subtle organic after taste
Bud Structure: Very deep purple buds that are dense, covered in crystals and accented by bright green leafs and amber hairs.
Medicinal: stress, pain, tension relief, and insomnia
Effects: The effects are very subtle to come on then a relaxed clear feeling that starts on the top of the head and slowly relaxes the entire body.
Grade: A
This unique pink lady strain has a very smooth and flavorful taste with a relaxing and subtle high. As the effects slowly come on you feel any tension you may have be soothed without the heavy couch lock feeling. This is a great indica dominant strain that would relieve the headaches of the day and still allow you to get your tasks done (just be mindful of the amount you use since it does come on slowly). I really enjoyed the way this strain settled in and will recommend it to all you snobs.
This is an exclusive strain found at Higher Elevation Medical Products at 700 Juanita St in Colorado Springs 719-635-4367. Stop in and say The Weed Snobs sent you.
Pure Co2 Extract: Dark Indica Mix Review
Type: CO2 Extracted hash oil, earwax
Name: Dark Indica Mix
Origin: Indica Mix
Indica/Sativa: Indica
Medicinal: Epilepsy, anti-emetic, anxiety, and multiple sclerosis
Looks: This extraction has a rich caramel color and the consistency of warm caramel.
Smell: Organic tea and a slight hint of lemon.
Taste: A clean and fresh flavor that reminds me of lemon tea.
Effects: This is felt instantly in the frontal lobe and the high feels very clear and clean.
Nature’s Garden has done a great job with this Dark Indica Mix, Pure CO2 Extract. They boast the CBD levels of 58%! As a regular wax user I found this to be a great day time motivator, a get up and get going type of hash. With all the medicinal qualities the high CBD strains have. This is a must have for any patient who enjoys the benefits of a medicine high in CBD’s.
Typically high CBD’s make people relaxed and are the chemical in hemp proven to reduce tumors. Obviously, not everyone is effected the same and if you experience total couch-lock and the uncanny urge to nap – it’s normal and OK. Again I cannot stress if you like wax you need to try this stuff!
This is a unique product offered exclusively at H.E.M.P.(Higher Elevation Medical Products) located at 700 Juanita St. in Colorado Springs. Give them a call and mention The Weed Snobs when you go in 719-635-4367.
OG #18 Review
Genetics: OG Kush S1
Indica/Sativa: Indica dominate hybrid
Aroma: You recognize diesel at first but it finishes with that noticeable kush skunk smell.
Flavor: Diesel and sour lemons with a distinct pine finish.
Bud Structure: Very bright green christmas trees that resemble a really dense diesel bud without all the crazy hairs typical of diesel strains. These buds have really good crystal coverage with a few orange hairs mixed in.
Medicinal: stress, pain, and insomnia
Effects: Powerful heady effects married with a great body buzz makes for an euphoric effect that’s hard to beat. Defiantly has some couch-lock potential and will do the trick for even the most experienced of patients.
Grade: A-
I really enjoyed this OG #18, which surprised me because I’ve had the wax and was never really taken by it. I found the flower to be a totally different from the wax in its effects and potency. I think they may be the first time I’ve ever said I prefer the flower over the wax!
I’m a waxhead too, the only flower I smoke are for these reviews, I smoke wax most of the time and buy almost exclusively wax for my personal use. This OG #18 is damn impressive and very good. It’s not really pretty looking at all, but this strain is one of the better OG strains floating around out there.

Pre-98 Bubba Kush Review
Genetics: Bubba Kush Backcross
Indica/Sativa: Indica
Aroma: Spicy with a hint of fruit and funk.
Flavor: spicy and sweet with a hint of fruit.
Bud Structure: Fairly dense with beautiful purple hues throughout and good crystal coverage.
Medicinal: Chronic pain, stress, and insomnia
Effects: A strong indica that grabs ahold and doesn’t wear off too soon. Very euphoric and relaxing. Couch-lock is defined by this strain.
Grade: A
Pre-98 Bubba Kush is my favorite bubba on the market. It always tastes good and it’s always consistent in it’s effects. I’ve never had Pre-98 Bubba Kush and been disappointed and I buy it everywhere I see it. A clone for 2011 Medical Cannabis Cup this strain won’t let you down. You just feel stoned on this strain. Thumbs up here.
Malawi Earwax Review
Type: BHO butane hash oil, earwax
- Name: Malawi
Origin: African Landrace Strain
Indica/Sativa: Sativa
Medicinal: Epilepsy and multiple sclerosis
Looks: Really dark inner-ear looking gunk with a blonde outer layer.
Smell: Earthy with a hint of lemons and pork (I swear, the last thing I really want to say is “pork” but it smells like bacon).
Taste: Earthy and well earthy, there isn’t a lot too this one flavor-wise.
Snob Score: B
Malawi is perfect for daytime use. Malawi isn’t particularly strong in any of the typical sativa traits. The good part of malawi is that it’s euphoric and perfect for work or going incognito with you medicine. It’s an awesome steady high that will keep you satisfied for awhile.
Sour Kush Earwax Review
Type: BHO butane hash oil, earwax
- Name: Sour Kush
Origin: Sour Diesel x OG Kush
Indica/Sativa: Hybrid
Medicinal: Stress, chronic pain, and anxiety
Looks: Light golden-yellow with an even lighter yellow outer layer.
Smell: Very earthy with that noticeable diesel burn in your nose.
Taste: Lemons with a diesel finish.
Snob Score: B+
Sour Kush is a perfect daytime or really an anytime medication. This wax was neither super uplifting or a major downer. Sour Kush was surprisingly balanced between the two highs. It’s not super potent but it’s satisfying and perfect in my opinion for daytime use. Especially when you don’t want anyone to suspect you are medicated yet you’re still feeling great. Pick it up if you like diesel or Kush strains.
